Tracey Ann - One Month

Our Baby is One Month Old... okay, well, a week ago she was one month old, but we were traveling in Michigan and attending my Grandma's funeral, so I'm a little late on this post.

Weight: Unofficially, about 8 pounds... she is growing!!!
Length:  She was 18.5 inches at birth, and I haven't measured her since... but she fits in her newborn size sleepers now, and she was SWIMMING in them a month ago.

Clothing size: Newborn clothes... they actually fit her now.  It is amazing to see her growing into these newborn sleepers.  All other sizes are really big on her still.

Eating:  She is breastfeeding and seems to love it.  I love it too, and she hasn't had any bottles yet.  I have pumped a little, but only when my milk supply needs it.  We don't have any milk stored yet, but I will be working on starting this in the next month.  Tracey Ann feeds anywhere between every 30 minutes and 4 hours, it just depends on the activities of the day.

Sleeping:  Our baby girl is actually a good little sleeper.  She doesn't keep us awake unless there is a reason -- she's wet, or hungry.  The most she has slept at a time has been 4 hours, and that is rare, but her stints of sleeping at night are getting longer and longer.  She sleeps in either her swing or her bassinet in our room.  As of now, I can't IMAGINE her sleeping anywhere other than our room.  I love how close she is to us.

New things/discoveries:
  • She is tracking with her eyes better and better every day, and she has started to look at her hands.  She also loves to look at lights/out the windows
  • She kicks her legs and waves her arms more and more every day.  We like to say that she does her daily exercises.

  New Accomplishments:
  • Wrapping Mama, Daddy, and her grandparents around her baby finger
  • Showing us what a good little traveler she is
  • Telling us when she has a messy diaper

Likes:
  • Showers with Daddy
  • Her swing
  • The vibrate feature on her swing and bassonet
  • Being held
  • Fun songs and voices
  • Her pacifier
  • She doesn't really like to be swaddled, but she calms down and sleeps better when she is... so Mama and Daddy like the swaddle

Dislikes:
  • Being cold
  • Spitting up

 Places She Went:
  •  Vail
  • Denver
  • Muskegon, MI
  • Doctors' offices
  • One of my schools
  • Rifle library

Special Memories:
  • Hubby and me learning how to keep her warm
  • Time with both sets of grandparents
  • Shower time with Daddy
