The Tree

Yesterday, our kiddos made a tree out of brown paper where we decided to write things for which we are thankful on leaves in order to fill the tree.

It was a really sweet project, and I've included a few of my favorite leaves (love the phonetic spelling).

Fitted Sheets

Everyone helped me make Grammie and Papa's bed for their visit.

Gotta love the tricky fitted sheets.

Canned Green Beans

Lee Lee's preschool class made pilgrim stew leading up to Thanksgiving.  Everyone was supposed to bring in canned veggies to share in the stew.

I think Lee Lee was the only child to bring in homemade canned goods -- green beans grown in Great Aunt Patti's garden and canned with great love and prayers.

It was enjoyed by all in the preschool, and I thought of my Aunt all day.

Horn of Plenty

Lee Lee came home from preschool on Monday incredibly excited because she had been given homework.  She has watched her siblings do homework for weeks, and she has desperately wanted some homework of her own to do.  She has even asked me to give her spelling words to study each week so she can have a spelling test like her siblings.

On Monday her dreams came true because she had a legitimate homework assignment.

She had to create a "Horn of Plenty" or "Cornucopia" of things for which she was thankful.  She worked diligently and was incredibly proud of her work when it came time to take it to school.

Sanden Family Fun

We had a wonderful week of family fun with my parents and brother and his girlfriend leading up to Thanksgiving.

Fun included a birthday celebration in Vail, dinner out with just the adults (cocktails in our new camper), and trampoline time, and ice skating.

Oh what fun!

... I just realized I already posted a lot of this information and these pictures a few days ago... well, here they are again.
