Hush Little Baby

You know the lullaby, "Hush Little Baby, Don't Say a Word..."?  I sing that song often around the house... it seems to be my go-to when someone is crying... so it gets sung often.

So you can imagine my amusement when Lee Lee started walking around the house yesterday literally pulling a horse and cart... and then the horse and cart fell down.

It was pretty funny.

Artistic Pictures By Tracey Ann

I don't think Tracey specifically knows how to change my phone so the pictures occur in black and white, but the pictures she took yesterday look very artistic as a result...

Whole Heap

If you find yourself thinking from time to time that we have a whole heap of kids or a pile of kids... you would be right.

Especially when my kids decide taking a silly picture means piling on top of each other...

Nigh Nigh Hugs

Lee Lee gives really great hugs.

Last night, she was saying "Nigh Nigh" to Memaw and I said, "Give Memaw a hug"... and Addallee just squeezed Memaw's neck with the biggest smile.

Bowling

Oh the fun that is had when your toddler and your husband tie, and your twins final score is one point apart.

We really did have a blast.  We bought a family summer voucher so I anticipate plenty of bowling in our future this summer.

A Puppy

We have a puppy visiting us with Memaw and Peepaw.  Her name is Blanca and she's about 11 weeks old.

Our children love her... and I love that she is not my puppy and she is visiting.

It has been so much fun to watch each of the children interact with such a sweet and little puppy.

The other night, she had to go in her cage to eat because when she was out of her cage, she was too distracted to eat.

This is a picture of all of my children huddled around her cage watching her eat.  Lee Lee is looking at me and saying, "Puppy eating" as I'm taking this picture.

Preschool Graduation

Yesterday, our spunky, kind-hearted, oldest daughter who loves animals, babies, her siblings, and Jesus graduated from preschool.

She has been at the same preschool since she turned two years old, and we are so proud of the little girl she is growing into.  She has learned so much, and made some very sweet friends -- but more importantly than then academics she has learned to prepare her for kindergarten and grade school, she has learned how to work.  She has learned how to get work done independently, or with friends, and how to organize her time and have fun learning.

Yesterday we were able to celebrate her accomplishment and mark the milestone of her moving on to kindergarten.

She is ready, which is such a blessing to be able to say.  A few months ago, she was not.  She would adamantly oppose the suggestion of going to kindergarten, and start to cry.  Now, she cannot wait.  She admits that she might be shy, and she is going to miss her siblings... but she is ready for the new challenges.

Tracey loves geography, science, and counting.  She also learns very well when material is set to music because she loves to sing and can repeat music pretty well.  She is still working on how to sound out letters, and other aspects of her curriculum, but she enjoys learning, which is what we want for her.

Happy Graduation, Tracey Ann!  We love you so much and are so proud of you and all that is coming next in your life.
