Preggers VI: 39 Weeks
How far along?
39 weeks, 2 days
Comparisons:
38 Weeks with Tracey... because she was born 38 weeks, 6 days
35 Weeks with the Twins... because they were born at 36 weeks 1 day, and I never took a 36 week picture.
Lee Lee at 39 weeks
Hunter at 39 weeks
How I am feeling?
I'm actually feel very well. I mean -- I'm large, I'm very pregnant, I'm uncomfortable at times, but really, I am cherishing these final days of pregnancy because this is it. I don't plan to ever be pregnant again. Also, I am feeling some relief and accomplishment because as of this afternoon my maternity leave begins. The baby can come as soon as he or she wants... or he or she can take his or her sweet time because I am DONE working for the year! PRAISE GOD!
How big is the baby?
The size of a pumpkin (hopefully a small pumpkin) -- 19.9 inches long, 7.23 pounds
Sleep:
I'm still sleeping really well as long as I can fall back to sleep. Most nights I get up several times and go right back to sleep... occasionally, I wake up during the night and then I'm awake for about 2 hours. That's not fun.
Boy/Girl Predictions:
Nope but I'm getting excited to find out... and I'm getting VERY excited to come home with the new baby and tell our other children if they got a brother or a sister.
Baby Nicknames:
"Baby"
Best moment this week:
So far the best moment of this week has been Mother's Day, and finishing work. Also, the kiddos have learned that if they offer to rub my feet and my back before they go to bed, they usually get to watch a little extra tv. So that has been incredibly sweet and special. I've ended several days this week with Tracey and Caroline each rubbing one of my feet, Howard rubbing my back, and Lee Lee rubbing my belly.
Food cravings:
I'm eating ice cream at while I'm writing this blog, and that tastes AMAZING!
Missing:
At the moment... nothing. I'm really happy to be where I am in this pregnancy, and so happy to have finished my work and be on maternity leave.
Movements:
Yes, and I really enjoy them... they are definitely less frequent now that the baby is bigger... but still moving around.
Labor Signs:
Yes... but just getting my body ready. Nothing that has made us head to the hospital yet... but labor is coming eventually, no doubt.
General Attitude:
Really calm and peaceful at the moment. I feel like I've gotten a really good sense of how my body heads into labor with my last two childbirth experiences and so I am able to just chill when I'm having contracts and not get overly excited about anything yet.
Both Hunter and Lee Lee arrived within 24 hours of their due date, so I am expecting the baby will arrive sometime this next week... but time will tell. I am just so excited to be done working, and ALL I have ahead of me this week, so spending time with my children, focusing on being a Mama, and preparing for the baby.
What I am looking forward to this week:
Hubby and I are headed off for a 24 hour baby-moon, and I am excited for that. We have done a one-night getaway before every one of our babies has arrived, and it feels very special to be doing it before this last baby arrives. And then, I'm excited to not work heading into next week!
Milestones:
\I've now carried this baby longer than I carried Tracey or the twins... and I've reached the week when Hunter and Lee Lee were both born... so we're expecting this baby sooner rather than later.

Preggers VI: 38 Weeks
How far along?
38 Weeks with Tracey
35 Weeks with the Twins... because they were born at 36 weeks 1 day, and I never took a 36 week picture.
38 Weeks with Lee Lee
38 Weeks with Hunter
How I am feeling?
Well... emotional and at times overwhelmed. I'm doing better now that its the weekend, but the past few weeks have been VERY full in terms of work, and it has led to some emotional evenings. But I have decided that my maternity leave will start this Friday (after work) even if the baby isn't' here yet and that is WONDERFUL! I was very happy to make that decision, and I am eagerly looking forward to Friday afternoon.
How big is the baby?
The size of a winter melon -- 19.6 inches long, 6.61 pounds
Sleep:
Sleep is wonderful, but I do feel that I should mention that I get up to use the restroom between 2 and 20 times a night. Usually its not a big deal, but some nights when I get up, I cannot get back to sleep and that is a mega bummer.
Boy/Girl Predictions:
Definitely a boy or a girl.
Baby Nicknames:
"Baby"
Best moment this week:
My brother and his girlfriend came to visit us the past few days, and we have had so much fun spending time with them. My parents were here also and we have had so much fun. We laughed a lot!
Food cravings:
Nothing in particular... Food that someone else prepares.
Missing:
I don't really think I'm missing anything... but I really am SO excited to be done with work.
Movements:
Yes... I love the baby movements.
Labor Signs:
Some... but nothing I've paid too much attention to.
General Attitude:
I'm really not expected the baby at all before the week of May 17. Its kind of nice to feel calm about this baby's arrival instead of constantly wondering if I'm about to go into labor.
What I am looking forward to this week:
Well, Mother's Day... but really, I'm looking forward to finishing work for the year!
Milestones:
I have now entered the week that I had Tracey -- she was born 38 weeks 6 days... so we'll see what happens this week.

Preggers VI: 37 Weeks
How far along?
37 weeks, 4 days
Comparisons:
37 Weeks with Tracey
35 Weeks with the Twins because they were born at 36 weeks exactly, and I never took a last picture
37 Weeks with Lee Lee
37 Weeks with Hunter
How I am feeling?
Well... tired, but can keep checking things off my list. At the moment, I'm just incredibly glad it is the weekend. This past week was incredibly full. My parents arrived in town and they helped with the kids Monday-Thursday and Hubby watched the kids all day Friday... and I worked 9-10 hours a day every day outside the house. I'm glad this next week will not be so chaotic.
How big is the baby?
The size of a papaya -- 18.9 inches long, 6.17 pounds
Sleep:
Sleep is glorious. I hope this is a wonderful sleep week.
Boy/Girl Predictions:
I don't know, but I am getting incredibly excited to find out. I can perfectly picture our family with either gender for our youngest little one -- a baby sister would be wonderful, and a baby brother would be perfect too. I went ahead and purchased some things for our gender reveal this week (for both genders) so when we come home the hospital, we will be excited to have things ready to reveal to our children whether we had a boy or a girl.
Baby Nicknames:
Baby
Best moment this week:
Friday evening I came home after a VERY long work week and Hubby had dinner ready, and it was so nice to have a family dinner with my Hubby and kiddos. Also, after dinner the twins rubbed my feet and my shoulders. After dinner, Tracey rubbed my feet. That was wonderful!
Food cravings:
Well... a mixture of Kix cereal and Fruity Pebbles.
Missing:
Mobility. This baby is running out of room in my belly. It will be nice to have increased mobility once the baby arrives.
Movements:
Yes, and I love the kicks. That baby's feet are usually on my right side, and I can distinctively feel the little feet. I am ready for the baby to be born, because I'm getting really uncomfortable, but I will never be ready to stop feeling baby kicks from the inside. That is magical.
Labor Signs:
Some contractions from time to time, but nothing implying the baby is on its way any time soon.
General Attitude:
Just trying to be ready for the baby... but also patient because it still may be awhile.
What I am looking forward to this week:
Working from home, and then next weekend I have some more family coming to town and Mother's Day weekend.
Milestones:
I'm officially considered full term.

Preggers VI: 36 Weeks
How far along?
36 weeks, 3 days
Comparisons:
36 Weeks with Tracey
35 Weeks with the Twins because they were born at 36 weeks exactly, and I never took a last picture
36 Weeks with Lee Lee
36 Weeks with Hunter
How I am feeling?
Feeling well. I'm definitely tired at the end of the day, and ready for EVERYONE to crawl into bed... I'm usually ready for bed before anyone else.
How big is the baby?
The size of a papaya -- 18.7 inches long, 5.73 pounds
Sleep:
Sleep is glorious. Some nights I am only up a few times and other nights it seems like every time the baby kicks I need to use the restroom again. I just keep remembering we're really in the final weeks and days of pregnancy, and before I know it, I will be up during the night to feed a newborn.
Boy/Girl Predictions:
No predictions but I'm really getting excited to find out when the baby is born!
Baby Nicknames:
Baby
Best moment this week:
I had a friend over yesterday who I haven't seen (in person) in several years, and it was SOOO nice to catch up in person.
Food cravings:
Nothing in particular.
Missing:
Missing a house free of construction.
Movements:
Yes, and I really love them. I will definitely miss feeling a baby move in my belly when I'm no longer growing babies... but to everything there is a season... and I feel so grateful that I've had the privilege of growing six babies and feeling them move during their time in my belly.
Labor Signs:
Some contractions at the end of each day but certainly not any active labor.
General Attitude:
I'm glad we're getting close to full term. Lee Lee and Hunter didn't arrive until within a day of their due dates, so I could still have three plus weeks, but I will breathe a sigh of relief when we are officially full term (37 weeks) and it is safe to deliver any time. I have plenty to do to keep me busy until the due date (but I can't help hoping that maybe we will meet this baby a LITTLE earlier than Lee Lee and Hunter came).
What I am looking forward to this week:
MY PARENTS ARRIVE and they are going to be a major help this week, which means I will have the chance to got A LOT of work done!!! Also, there's a really good chance that construction will end this week. An even higher chance than the last two times I've said it might happen...
Milestones:
I've officially carried Baby Number 5 longer than I've carried the twins.
