Just a friendly Public Service Announcement from your Alaskan Mountain Millers...

From basketball camps, to a dance recital, to a wrestling meet, staying in a hotel, and out to a family breakfast, this weekend was BUSY!
I just wish I could get Cinderella's company of animal friends to show up to clean my house and do our laundry!
Caroline made it very clear to us this year how much she hates to travel on her birthday. It doesn't matter that she's always been around aunts and uncles and cousins for her birthday... she adamantly asked that she NOT spend this birthday in the car traveling. She also wanted a birthday party with friends.
We did our best to make her birthday wishes come true. We did our traveling before Christmas so there were NO car rides on her birthday. And, we started the celebration last Friday, December 30th with a swimming birthday party with friends at the Vernal Rec Center. The roads were icy but everyone who said they were going to come made it and we had a great time.
After the incredibly busy and stressful last 3 weeks we have had with new jobs, new schools, and trying to settle in a new house, nothing does my heart better than an afternoon of family fun!
Since the 4th of July, Hubby has been working a few days a week in Rangely, and I have been home manning the ship and dealing with house showings.
It has been a fun chance for two children at a time to go to Rangely with Hubby to spend the night in our camper, enjoy the rec center, go fishing, and get to know our new town better. It has also encouraged me to make some special activities at home so the the children at home will also have fun while two siblings are with Daddy in Rangely.
