Singing in Church

Our kiddos sang in church over spring break and I'm not sure if I've shared the pictures yet.  So here they are.  Hopefully I'll get new pictures of life this weekend now that we have less sicklings.

Be-Dazzled

Our kids have been very into crafting lately - with hot glue.  The more sparkles, popsicle sticks and strings of hot glue, the better.

Caroline be-dazzled her blue light glasses.

She now keeps them at school and proudly wears them every day as she's on the computer.

The Youngest

They say the youngest one is spoiled one.

Do you see what's going on in this picture?

...

I'll give you a minute to really look.

...

...

That's right.  Tracey is sick on the floor of our bedroom (with a bucket by her head -- she was our last man standing, and she caught the bug yesterday).  Hunter is laying at her feet because he thought a slumber party in Mama and Daddy's room looked run.  And sweet Brady is asleep on Mama and Daddy's bed -- a kingsize bed all to himself.

Sick

 We have been SICK!

We have vomiting, fevers, and coughs all happening with members of our family.

Hopefully we're on the up-swing, but this has been the kind of illness that knocks down someone else as soon as I think someone is getting better.

Here has been out last four days:

Crafts and A Tummy Bug

While our two youngest spent a day vomiting, our older four got crafty with my hot glue gun.  The results were a partially built airplane, and a fairy house.

St. Patrick's Day

We had a really fun St. Patrick's Day!

We all wore green, and we went to Rifle for the day where we hung out at the McDonald's Play Place and Super Kidz where lots of friends swung by to see us.  We didn't know it beforehand, but all the kids got in to Super Kidz free because they were wearing green. Then we went to Grand Junction where we went swimming and made dinner at the hotel, and then all the kids slept really well.

It was a really fun day.

Traffic Lights

We just spent the day in Grand Junction and Howard just said,

“we’re just not used to traffic lights.”

We've really created some small town kids.

Our Yes Day

We had a "Yes Day" on Thursday, which was a day that Mama and Daddy do not spend money... but Mama cannot say "no".

It kicked my tail.

Basically it was a day that the kids got to do things at home (or around home) that I usually say "no" to, but this day that got to do those things.  And I set the things up or cleaned up after... which is why I usually say no.

By the end of the day I was completely wiped.

We went swimming at the rec center, had tomato soup and grilled cheese for lunch, Caroline took a long relaxing bath, Tracey baked fruit tarts, some kids made a fort in the family room, some kids made slime, a few kids could not resist the siren call of their ipads, so a few kids spent some time on their ipads.  Some played games, sent messages to family members on my phone, face-timed family.

It was a really fun day, but it was exhausting.
