Victoria's Secret!

There's a gal, Jax, that I follow on Instagram who writes the most HILARIOUS original songs... I think she won Song Writer of the Year for Tic Toc last year, and she came out with a song a few weeks ago that is SO great!

She baby-sits for a middle school girl (she has a pretty funny song about her baby-sitting escapades) and recently the middle school girl came home from bathing suit shopping in tears... and so Jax wrote a song for her.

Here is the original video Jax posted... so good!

Then, a few weeks later, she organized a flashmob in front of Victoria's Secret and added another verse... so here is that video as well.

ENJOY!

Enjoyment

Truth be told, I took probably a little too much enjoyment out of this picture

Back To School Haircuts

I got the boys their back to school haircuts yesterday -- a little early, but we had the time, whereas in 2 weeks, I do not except to have the time.

Plus, the boys had been asking for haircuts... I really do have them trained to dislike when their hair starts to get long and shaggy.

Even Brady got his first hair cut -- just a little trim around the ears and the neck.

Self-motivated

Some of our children are more self-motivated to get things done than others.

Rifle Bucket List

Our official move to Rangely is fast approaching (as we continue to pray for our housing situation there) so the kids and I created a Rifle Bucket List to help us be aware of our favorite things in Rifle and treasure the things we will miss most.

We've been checking things off little by little.

Last night, I gave Brady a dessert with chocolate frosting, and then I worked on something in the kitchen.  The next time I saw him, I wasn't sure what happened, but he was a MESS!

And, between the kitchen table and the bathtub, I got the closest thing I hope to ever get to an arm tattoo... chocolate frosting from Brady -- but it made me do a double take every time I saw my arm in the mirror for the rest of the night.

Ordinary and Special

I saw this quote a few days ago and saved it.  This summer, when so much is changing, and our family is moving from one lovely home to ... a lovely town (still working on the home), this quote has become incredibly real.

8 In The Camper

Hubby has been living in Rangely about 4-5 nights a week, working every day getting ready for the school year.  He's been living in our camper.

Since we purchased the camper last November, everyone in the family has slept in camper 1 or more nights except Mama and Brady... until this week.

This week, I had some meetings in Rangely Monday evening, which means we ALL slept in the camper Monday night... and we survived.

It was fun.  It was also fun -- for the night, or for a camping trip.  I am sincerely praying that God will not requires us to MOVE into the camper when we move to Rangely because that would be SNUG and less fun.

Separate Summer Adventures

Since the 4th of July, Hubby has been working a few days a week in Rangely, and I have been home manning the ship and dealing with house showings.

It has been a fun chance for two children at a time to go to Rangely with Hubby to spend the night in our camper, enjoy the rec center, go fishing, and get to know our new town better.  It has also encouraged me to make some special activities at home so the the children at home will also have fun while two siblings are with Daddy in Rangely.

Yesterday was a lot of fun... Tracey and Lee Lee are in Rangely and so Caroline and the 3 boys and I did toddler trampoline time in Junction, picnic lunch in the car, and the afternoon swimming at the Rifle pool.  It was a really fun day and everyone was asleep by 7:30pm.

A Year-and-a-Half

I will be at Disney World on my 40th birthday with my hubby and our six children.  My 40th birthday is exactly one-and-a-half years from today.

Do you think I should work with the kids to make a paper-chain count down so we tear off a paper chain every day?

One paper ring down, 548 to go!

Tracey and Caroline are doing cheerleading through the Rifle Parks and Rec department this summer and they had their first performance on July 3.

They looked adorable in their uniforms, and I snapped this picture of them all ready to go...

Then, when they were out with their teammates I could hardly recognize them.  They looked so grown up in their uniforms doing their cheerleading routine with all their teammates.  I feel like I blinked and they are suddenly in high school.
