Christmas 2010: Branson

Thank you for all the best wishes and congratulations on Chris and my engagement. We are SOOO happy -- and BUSY as we're not trying to plan a wedding long-distance (as it will be in Michigan).

Also, my bride-to-be diet and exercise regiment has begun...

More about wedding planning and dieting details later. Below is a short post about part of our Christmas travels.

Chris and I spent a few days in Branson post-engagement but pre-family time.
We did... NOT see Andy Williams in concert, but I sure wanted to. Word to the wise: if you want to see a Branson Christmas show, go to Branson in November. Basically every performer in town packs up and goes home starting December 10 -- so if you go to Branson the week before Christmas there are limited entertainment options. There is a musical/fire/water fountain...And there are Chinese Acrobats, who do not go home in December like everyone else.Chris was justifiably scared of the Kung-Fu guy.

  1. Glad to hear that you had a good time in Branson! You're right about many of the shows shutting down toward the last part of the month. If you plan on traveling in November though, be sure to book as much in advance as you can as it's Veterans week (the 5-11) and town gets VERY busy.
