Some made me laugh... some made me cry (literally), but all of the above were very enjoyable.

Story of Jonah

Last night while I was in the kitchen,  I stumbled upon a game show called, "The Great American Bible Challenge" hosted by Jeff Foxworthy.  It was really entertaining.

During one of the breaks, they showed a clip of a little girl telling the story of Jonah.  To be honest, she reminds me of my grandmother, Nangie.  Nangie had such a gift of drama and told wonderful stories.  She even used to tell a monologue about the story of the life of Jesus.  She would perform it at many churches in her town.

Hey my grandmother would say, "And the crowd shouted, 'CRUCIFY HIM!  CRUCIFY HIM!", listeners would get goose bumps.  I thought of Nangie when the little girl got to the part when Jonah insisted on being sent overboard, "LISTEN!  LISTEN! God has sent this storm to punish me!"  It gave me goosebumps.

This clip is over seven minutes... but the little girl is very entertaining.  What a gift this little girl has for sharing the Bible.

This place is going to the Dogs!

Here is a picture taken at Chris' parents' house before Lloyd made his way to Colorado.  In this picture you see Mom and Dad Miller's two golden retrievers, the golden retriever they dog-sit two days a week, the huge great dane belonging to Becky (the beautiful blond in the picture) and Daniel (Chris' sister and brother-in-law living with Mom and Dad Miller at the moment) and our little Lloyd.

While on the subjects of dogs, I saw this clip on youtube the other day and it warmed my heart so much, I still cannot even believe what saw.



 We really do have so much to learn from animals.

Cold Snap

It's getting pretty chilly here and the first snow is expected by the end of this week.

 We've started closing the windows and adding more layers... haven't turned on the heat yet, and I'm not sure I'm ready to clear off our wood-burning stove... and we're thrilled for winter to arrive.

Isn't hers the sweetest face you've ever seen?  My cat is such a blessing from God.  The real-life dream-come-true of my life was God sending me Lexie.  It is also such a blessing watching her relationship with Chris develop.  She's still my girl, but they definitely have their own love as well.  She loves having two parents.

Elizabeth's Wedding

Chris and I met my family in Palm Beach, Florida this past weekend to celebrate my cousin, Elizabeth's wedding. Elizabeth and I were REALLY close growing up... and to this day, we share history and similarities with each other that we do not share with anyone else.

It meant the world to witness and participate in your wedding celebration. Enjoy the pictures:
