Manly Bliss

After Hunter has a bath - which is between every night and every other night, he is very predictable.

After I dry him off with a towel, but before I can get a diaper on him, he wiggles away and crawls to the middle of the bed.  He finds the television remote and happily lays back against the pillow and makes himself at home laughing and smiling.

I think he has learned that this is the ultimate manly goal in life -- to be fed, clean, and tired, and happily lay naked in the middle of a huge bed with control of the remote.

Men Working Hard

Our men were working hard yesterday evening before dinner... Daddy on his computer and Howard on a picture find page (similar to Where's Waldo).  He found every hidden item in the chaotic picture.

What a Man

The other day, the kids wanted to play with the hose again.  So I got everyone in shorts and undershirts, and let them run around the yard with the hose.

At one point, Tracey was on top of the swing set, and she wanted Howard to hand her the hose.

Instead of just picking it up, he ended up dragging it around the other side... and these are the pictures I was able to snap.

He just looks so gosh darn grown up and like such a hard little worker.

Gravity

I think our little Howard is destined to be an astronaut or astrophysicist or something of the sort.  This little guy is obsessed with gravity.

Every single thing that he holds in his hands, he immediately and seemingly instinctively  tosses it up in the air and watches it come back down.  EVERYTHING.
This includes but is not limited to balls, frisbees, rain boots, tennis shoes, bike helmets, books, forks and spoons, dinner food, toys, and more.

He doesn't even seem to be aware that he is doing it.

The other night before bed, he kept tossing his book in the air.  I said, "If you toss the book in the air again, I am going to take it away."
He tossed.  I took.

After a few minutes he got another chance to hold his book with the reminder beforehand that if he tossed his book in the air again, I would take it away.

The book had no soon stopped in his hot little hands that I said, "Howard, what is going to happen if you throw the book."

He tossed the book in the air and said, "I don't know."

I tell you... this kid is all about gravity.

Little Man

It was totally unplanned the way his outfit came together... but yesterday, we headed outside, and after adding a bicycle helmet to his ensemble... I looked at my little boy, and realized I had a little man.

Doesn't he seriously look like a little police officer who rides a motorcycle?
