Go Blue!

Here's hoping we can end the year with a sound and impressive Michigan victory in the College Football Playoff Semi-finals against TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And the days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We'll drink a cup of kindness yet
For the sake of auld lang syne

GO BLUE!

Family Football Day

As Hubby and I try to figure out our responsibilities this fall, we're realizing that we man the ship a lot.  One of us will cover the kids and the other will do something else -- grad school, work, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc.  This past week we realized that we don't actually spend much time as a family because we assign one parent to watching the kids so the other one can get something done.

Well, Saturday, we took a break for all our responsibilities and enjoy life as a whole family along with some great college football.

Here are some pictures from our great family football day:

Saturday family tailgate-type breakfast

Yummy!

Such cute Wolverines!

Calling Coach Harbough to give their opinions on today's game.

I think this looks like a linebacker stance... he's already practicing to be football player someday.

Touchdown!

Tracey and Daddy went to see her first ever movie in the theater -- Finding Dori!

Michigan Shirts

The 2016 University of Michigan Football season is four days away... and I am getting really excited.

I looked at some Michigan apparel online a few days ago to get in the football spirit and try to figure out what all our family of five was going to wear every Saturday and apparently facebook knows what I was looking at because it began to suggest some REALLY AWESOME shirts for me:

Rivalry Week

Today, Michigan plays Ohio State -- the biggest game of Michigan's season each and every year.

This awesome Saturday marks the end of Rivalry Week for College footbal, and it is a great one.

In honor of today's game, I have some stats on the Michigan game... and a funny football commercial.

Big Game Tonight!

Tonight is a really big game!!!

Michigan basketball takes on Louisville for the NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship Game!!!

I have a lot of respect for the sport of men's basketball (although I don't understand much about it) because only one team can finish the year with a win.  In football, half of the teams invited to post-season play end the season with a W... but in basketball, the only team to finish with a Win is the team that Wins it all.

Hubby and I are both wearing Michigan gear today -- he's wearing his Michigan tie, and I'm wearing a Michigan shirt with a work skirt.  We're giving our support.

Here's hoping and praying for a great game where the kids play their best with no injuries.

Michigan v. Notre Dame

Today is a big day...

Today, Michigan plays Notre Dame.

GO BLUE!
Michigan has three BIG rivalries.  Michigan has two HUGE rivalries -- Ohio State and Notre Dame.  We also really like to beat Michigan State... but our two HUGE rivalries are Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Tonight, Michigan plays Notre Dame at Notre Dame.

The Michigan v. Notre Dame game is ALWAYS exciting.  It is ALWAYS a game where students dig deep, play better than before, do more than they thought they could, and legends are made.

LAST YEAR... this game was UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Last year, Notre Dame v. Michigan 2011 was played at THE BIG HOUSE.  It was a night game.  Three touch downs were scored in the last 1:12 of the game.  It was the MOST exciting football game of all the college games last season.

This year, Notre Dame is playing well -- they are 3-0.
This year, Michigan is playing okay -- they are 2-1, and their one loss is to the #1 team in the nation (Alabama).

This is going to be an important game for both teams.

GO MICHIGAN!!!

Here is a clip from last year's Michigan game.  Notice, to start the clip, Michigan is down 28-31 with 0:23 left in the 4th quarter on their OWN 20 yard line.  Here are the final 0:23 of last year's game:
