Not Fast Enough

Brady's second birthday was in May, and by then, we knew we were moving to Alaska and selling many belongings.  So, my parents agreed, at my request, to delay sending Brady a birthday present until we were settled in our new home as I didn't want to have to move the new gift.  They said that sounded great and we all agreed that a toddler basketball hoop would be great for our little man (we had one years ago when Howard was 2, but it was fell apart a few years ago after much wear and tear).

We ordered Brady's hoop yesterday... and if you ask me, it can't come quickly enough.

Support

After a FULL day of packing as fast and furiously as I could, I finally sat down on the stairs while I was watching the children make their own dinner.  Within a minute, Brady had climbed up behind me and started rubbing my back.  Hunter was fast to follow Brady's example.

This move is big and it is challenging, but I have no doubt in my mind that our family will make the trip and find a home in Palmer with flying colors because our children are amazing tiny humans and we are supporting each other on this next adventure.

The back rub was amazing until Hunter said he saw an ant on my back and promptly slapped it (the ant...and my back) as hard as he could.

Best Life

 This boy is happy.

Grammie's cinnamon bread in one hand, passie in the other.

This is his best life for sure!

Fun Times

Brady's birthday was simple, but still lots of fun.  He's such a great little guy!

Bike To School Day!

 Bike to school day!

The kids and I biked 2.5 miles to school yesterday, which was a ton of fun.  It's a good thing the name is "bike to school" day and not "bike home from school" day, because we had several children hitch a ride with Daddy when it came to the up-hill trip home.

I even had to hand off the two littles riding in the bike carrier because decreasing the load by 50lbs made a world of difference as I pedaled up the hill to our house.

Commentary

Here's out I hear this commentary going:

Brady: "Brother, what am I supposed to do for the picture?  Show me?  Wow your hair is different."

Brady: "Oh, okay, I'll smile with my head turned to the side."

Hunter: "Are you tilting your head and smiling like I'm doing?   I'm just checking on you."

How adorable is this picture I snapped of my mom and Brady waiting for the dance recital to start?!?!

Little Brother

Lee Lee loves being a big sister, and Brady absolutely loves being a little brother.

Lee Lee stuck some jewels on her face, and decided that Brady needed them.

Then, she told me that Bray didn't like them, so could I take a picture before she took them off.

I took the first picture:

Then, Brady looked at Lee Lee, to confirm that he was doing what she wanted:

And he noticed that her head was tilted to the side as she said, "Cheese", and so he imitated her:

The Rest of my Life

This may end up being one of my favorite pictures for the rest of my life.

Introducing Super Brady!

His Favorite

His favorite thing in the world seems to be Lexie.  Lexie is not thrilled to be so well thought of.

What is most comical to me is that Brady really doesn't seem to like Lloyd very much -- this might be relate to Lloyd snacking a snack or two when Brady's not paying attention, but Brady absolutely adores Lexie, and gets very excited any time he see any other cat as well.
