Currently I'm...
Loving:  The fact that today is Wednesday instead of Saturday... all last night it felt like Friday night and today should be Saturday.  It's not!!!  It's Wednesday!  I love that I have  five days ahead to get a LOT of work done and hopefully be ahead of the game come next week!

Reading/Watching: Well... Watching Dawson's Creek reruns, actually.  They are on Pop TV and I record them and then play them at night when I'm writing blog posts or working on our Christmas card addresses.  Reading the last chapter of the Child Development textbook from which I have to prepare the LAST lecture for the community college class that I'm teaching this semester... well, that's what I'm supposed to be reading -- I'm actually watching Dawson's Creek reruns at the moment.

Trying to: Keep a really positive attitude about the remainder of my pregnancy... some days I'm more successful than others...

Wishing:  For a joyful, fun, memorable Christmas season -- I LOVE the whole Christmas season and all the fun hustle and bustle and activities and I REALLY want this Christmas season to be just as joyful and fun as others despite my ever growing size.  I am excited to decorate our new home, do Christmas shopping, Christmas baking, enjoying the season with my parents here with us, taking Tracey Ann to visit Santa, and more!!!

Excited for: My parents to set up camp in our guest room indefinitely and HELP with everything -- our rambunctious toddler, our two lovable animals, our unpacking in the new home, our Christmas decorating, our twins preparations and more... How exciting to have family actually nearby for a little while!

Currently I'm...

Loving:  The moments when Tracey Ann is such a grown up sweetheart.  There are sporadic times throughout the day when she gives her stuffed animals a sip of her water, and she brings her shoes to Mama instead of throwing them in the garbage.  There are times she says "Papa" and then just laughs and laughs when we talk to Grammie and Papa on facetime, and even blows them kisses goodbye.  I am loving her sweet toddler nature, when she is a sweet little toddler.

Reading/Watching:  Some movies this weekend because we're up in Vail, and I'm just not used to watching commercials... so that fact that to watch television involves commercials has me playing a few dvds instead.

Trying to:  Make a plan for getting summer work done while still enjoying every precious day with my baby and husband and not beating myself up for enjoying these wonderful days with them, not getting work done.

Wishing:  I had a little more energy -- I'm just pretty drained these days.

Excited for:  Two of my good friends from graduate school to get here -- they arrive tomorrow.  They are guy-friends, and were ushers in our wedding, except one was in absentia because he was deployed overseas. Now he is back in America for the first time in about seven years, and he and our other friend are coming out here for over a week.  It should be a great time.

Sometimes I don't have the energy to come up with one-of-a-kind blog posts.  On days like those (like today), I'm grateful for some standard questions to get my thoughts going:

Currently I'm...

Loving:  My days home with Tracey Ann -- they are just so precious to me.  Some days we are more productive than others, but I have such a little helper with me for whatever we are doing.  I love how excited she is every day and how she is observing and copying everything she sees.

Reading/Watching:  Reading Husband-Coached Childbirth because I am studying to become a Bradley Method of Childbirth instructor!  I'm also watching -- well several programs -- Dancing with the Stars, and 19 Kids & Counting are two of my favorites at the moment.

Trying to:  Cherish each day of Spring, and each day left to the school year -- trying to not count the days until summer vacation

Wishing:  Tracey Ann were a little more flexible with her daily and nightly routine -- we have some travel plans coming up in May and I'm very nervous about taking her away from our home and the lack of sleep that might result.

Excited for: To see what God is doing in our lives, in our marriage, in our parenting, and with our time and resources, and how He is abundantly providing for us.

Loving:  Sleep.  I know, I also love my Hubby (A LOT), and our healthy, cheerful, giggly, fast-paced one-year-old... but after our whirlwind trip to St. Louis and Nashville... I'm loving sleep.

Reading/Watching:  I'm trying to read 1000 Gifts... but I have to be honest, that I'm struggling to get into it.

Trying to:  Stay awake with a joyful attitude... instead of a grouchy attitude.

Wishing:  For a few minutes to unpack from our trip.

Excited for:  The University of Michigan season opener College football game against Utah in Salt Lake City... which Hubby, Tracey Ann and I are going to attend in September.  I know, it's a ways away... but I am REALLY excited about it.

Loving:  The holiday season, and knowing that Hubby and I get to experience the entire season and magic and miracle of Christmas as parents this year, for the first time.

Reading/Watching:  Books and shows by the Duggar family -- the family from 19 Kids and Counting.  I listen to their books on Audible while I drive (there are 3), and I record their tv shows so I can watch them when I have time.  I have really been encouraged and motivated by their story and how they live their lives.

Trying to:   Live in a more joyful, loving, grateful manner.  I have two graduate degrees... but neither one is in being a good wife or mother.  I'm trying to love my husband, and care for my daughter better and better every day.

Wishing:   For all the things on my "grow-up Christmas list"

Excited for:  A lifetime with Hubby and Tracey Ann... I want a beautiful life where Hubby and I have many stories of wisdom developed through trials, and God's faithfulness through struggles.
