Great Wolf Lodge!

In Arizona, we surprised our crew with four nights (five days) stay at Great Wolf Lodge!  I could probably spend ten posts just talking about our stay there... but instead I will just overload this post with pictures and a few fun details.

Thanks to some kids youtube videos, our children were familiar with Great Wolf Lodge, so when Tracey read the sign of where we were pulling in, they had some idea of what kind of fun awaited them.

So... the best comparison I can make about Great Wolf Lodge is that its kind of like a cruise ship.  You are in one location, but you pick what activities on the "ship" you are going to do and what meal packages you want to buy.  The advantage to Great Wolf Lodge is that you're NOT on a ship... so you can run to the grocery store, or a nearby (less expensive) restaurant if you so choose.

We knew what the hotel had to offer, and we knew we wanted the kids to experience more than the waterpark while we were there, so we had decided to purchase the package which included our children getting to try a variety of activities while we were there.  Hubby and I agreed that four nights was ideal for everything we did.

All the kids swam every day -- but not ALL DAY every day.  Every day had a few activities out of the water, and a lot of fun in the water.

We were there long enough to take advantage of the various free activities that happened throughout the day (morning yoga, late night dance party, bedtime story, meeting characters, and a show), and long enough that when our crew needed some downtime, they could retreat to the room for PBJs and some r&r.  The activities some of our children did in addition to the waterpark included a ropes course, climbing wall, miniature golf, build-a-bear workshop, mirror maze, a wizard quest, mining for gems, time in the arcade, bowling, and treats from the ice cream and candy shop.  What fun!

It was a REALLY fun time.

Here is the photo overload in no particular order because some were taken on Hubby's phone and some on mine.  Not pictured are the INNUMERABLE waterslides our children went down - just because logistically it we couldn't juggle a phone/camera and our kids on these waterslides.  But rest assured, we did them in spades!
