Tracey's first grade class had an assignment surrounding the character of Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley is so flat he can fit in a post office envelope to see his family across the country, so the first graders were charged with mailing Flat Stanley to people they knew across the country. Flat Stanley would have some adventures while visiting the new place and hopefully the recipients would take pictures of Flat Stanley on his adventures, and then mail him back with pictures.
Apparently as Flat Stanleys are coming in, the first grade hall is covered with a big map along with Flat Stanley pictures from across the country.
Given that Tracey had JUST seen all of her family at Hubby's birthday party, she opted to mail out five Flat Stanley, and it was good she did. Two family members took the assignment very seriously and even began a friendly competition as to what sort of fun Flat Stanley Adventures they could document, one family member took a video of Flat Stanley, and two family members have not responded at all, so it was good we had so many Stanleys in play.
Then, we were also given a Flat Stanley to take on adventures around Rifle...
