Addallee is FIVE months old! That is crazy to me! And really... now she's like five-and-a-half months (I'm sorry Addallee... I promise I notice when you turn a new month, but these are long blog posts and I don't always have the energy to post everything on your exact month birthday).
Here she is at four months...
and three months...
and two months...
and one month...
and as a sweet newborn.
Weight:
According
to our bathroom scale, I estimate she's about 18 pounds. She is a pleasingly plump little baby with some added padding to serve as defense against the aggressive love from her brother and sisters. I love her little baby rolls.
Length:
Her
length is harder to estimate... she's getting longer. She can stand really well on the lowest setting of her exersaucer.
Clothing size:
She
wears 3 and 6 month clothing. All the newborn clothes and the 0-3 onesies have been put away.
Eating:
She exclusively nurses but we give her spoons to chew on and play with at the table while the big kids eat. She's a great eater -- when she's really hungry, she can tune out anything and eat (or sleep), but when she's just snacking, she gets distracted very easily if anything exciting is happening.
Sleeping:
Addallee
sleeps in our room in a bassinet laying flat on her back and she wears a sleep sack vest with her arms out. She usually nurses around 8:00pm, and falls asleep. Sometimes she will get up again around 10:00pm, but then she sleeps until I get her up to nurse at 4:00am before my workout. Then she goes back to sleep for another few hours. I'm considering moving her to her own room soon, but I'm not ready yet.
New things/discoveries:
- She really plays well in little pumpkin seats and exersaucer by herself.
- She likes to laugh, but only certain things she finds funny.
- She loves using her fingers -- both for manipulating toys but also for sucking on when she can't find her passie.
New Accomplishments:
- She is tolerating tummy time better... but I don't leave her on her tummy very often because I have to be right beside her otherwise her loving siblings try to crush her
- Not a good accomplishment, but she has become harder for baby-sitters now that she is older. I have had to come home from a date night with Hubby twice to get Addallee to sleep because the sitters couldn't get her to stop crying and go to sleep.
