Brady Christopher -- 10 Months

 Brady turned 10 months... wait for it... YESTERDAY!  That's right!

It's only taken me ten months, but here I am posting his growth update the day after he turned that age.  The fact that it was on a Saturday helped a little.

Here is Brady at 10 months of age -- healthy and happy and INCREDIBLY mobile!  This was not an easy picture to take... but Brady is clearly excited for March Madness!

To give you a picture of how he's changed over the past 10 months, here he is at 5 months of age...

Weight: 

17 pounds 6 ounces at his 9 month check up

So probably 18 pounds or so now.

Length:  

27.5" at his 9 month appointment

So probably 27.75" or so now.

Clothing size: 

Twelve month clothing - everything from onesies to sleepers to pants and shirts.  He also wears the same size diapers as Hunter -- both size 4.

This actually isn't that abnormal for our children -- we have found that our kids get to size 4 diapers before 1 year of age, and then they get so mobile, and start to get more lean and less chubby as they move, that we have found our children stay in size 4 diapers until they move to pull-ups for potty training.

That said, Hunter and Brady are closer in age than any of our other children, and we have never actually had siblings of different ages in the same size diapers at the same time (just the twins).  And, truth be told, Hunter is on the smaller size for his age in terms of out children, and Brady seems to be growing nicely... there is a really good chance both boys are going to be wearing 18-month clothing in the next few months.  Hunter also wears 24 month, and 2T, but some pants just fit him better in 18-month size.

 

Eating:  

Brady is a terrific eater and there is very little he will not try.  He has 2 teeth now so he has enjoyed learning how to chew different foods.  He also has begun getting some cow's milk in bottles.  I still have a few bags of frozen breastmilk, but he is officially weaned in terms of my nursing him or pumping.

Sleeping:  

Brady is in a very good sleeping routine at the moment -- in bed around 7:00pm with a bottle, and sleeps until around 9:00am or so.

• He crawls EVERYWHERE and is very fast
• He can crawl up the two stairs from his baby-sitter's family room and he's found our stairs as well - we had to re-install baby gates
• His first St. Patrick's Day
• He is beginning to push toys (with the help of older siblings)
• He got is first two teeth
• He has started to pull up to a standing position
• His first time drinking cow's milk
• First time meeting some cousins on my side
