Hunter Nicholas -- Five Months

Hunter turned five months old a few days ago, which officially marks another month of his wonderful life... and officially one month of life in quarantine in our life as a family.  I am so thankful we have little Hunter in our lives -- well, I am so thankful for each and every one of our children in our lives during this crazy time of being home bound.

Weight:
Great question... I have not weighed him since last month and we have thankfully not been in to the doctor's office since his appointment a month ago.  I imagine he is more than 13 pounds, but probably not significantly.

Length:
He's getting longer... has not quite grown out of his bassinet, but he's getting close.  I had to raise his exersaucer up to a higher setting, but his toes do not yet touch the floor when he's in his walker.

Clothing size:
All 6-9 month clothing, with a few 12 month clothes thrown in when needed.

 Eating:
Nursing whenever he wants... and really whenever he wants because he has not been away from me for the entire month.  No daycare, no baby-sitters, no trips to the store, nothing away from him (or any of the children) for the past month.  He gnaws on everything, so Hubby has given in a taste of lime, honeydew, and strawberry -- and he does not seem to care for any of it.  Milk is his favorite.

Sleeping:
Hunter sleeps in a bassinet in our room, but he has napped a few times in his crib.  I hope maybe in the next month he'll be moving into his nursery, but time will tell.  Our entire schedule is different now with everyone home every day -- everyone is up later every night, and everyone sleeps later every day - Hunter included.  He falls asleep around 10:30/11:00 for the night, and then up around 3:00ish, and then 6:00ish, and then 8:00/9:00ish... maybe?  By then, I don't even know.  And then he takes maybe three or so short naps during the day -- less than an hour each I would say.

New things/discoveries:

He puts EVERYONE in his mouth!  He drools and chews hard!  I don't remember our other kiddos teething so much so early, so time will tell as to how soon a tooth may cut through.

He tolerates tummy time better

He loves playing with his feet

He loves being rolled around in his walker by his siblings

First time riding in the stroller

   New Accomplishments:
He is manipulating toys better (probably because he's so motivated to put them in his mouth)

He is not rolling over by himself yet... but he'll get there

He loves to sit up with help but is still very wobbly and top heavy without help

Likes:
Attention

Being around all activity
Exersaucer
Pacifiers
Nursing
His siblings
Warm baths/showers
Being worn by Mama
Sitting up in the panda chair or bumpo chair

Tummy time in limited doses

Anything in his mouth -- toys, fingers, toys, fabric, other people

Dislikes:
Food other than milk

Tummy time for too long

People howling like a wolf
(we discovered this when we went outside during the full moon and howled at the moon... and Hunter cried every time)

 Places He's Gone:
NOWHERE!

We took one day when the whole family drove to Glenwood Springs and Carbondale to pick something up from Tracey's school and get my work car... and everyone stayed in the car the whole time... and that has been Hunter's only outing for the entire month.

Well, he's gone on some walks -- both in a carrier and the stroller for the first time.
