Becky gave me a pair of hand-me-down shoes for Caroline.
The following conversation ensued:
“Oh those shoes are great, thank you. Caroline is really into shoes right now and she will love them.”
“Oh good. Those shoes are great because of all the colors they will match almost any outfit.”
“Oh Becky, shoes matching the outfits is a bar we don’t even try to reach in our house. We consider it a win if each person wears a shoe that matches their other shoe.”
