Fun things have been happening faster than I can post lately... well, mostly fun things. We also came down with a nasty stomach bug while we were in St. Louis... and we try to fill our days with so much fun and activity that it took us longer to get over than I think it could have because we stay so busy and didn't give ourselves a chance to really rest and recover like we should have.
We're on the up-swing, partially because we have taken some time to rest, and partially because I have become very strict about what foods my kids are eating while their intestinal tracks are still recovering.
Here are some pictures of the fun we had to end our time in St. Louis:
Tracey and Howard needed haircuts so we scheduled then when we were in St. Louis so they could have them at a fun kid salon that we don't have anywhere in our area of Colorado. They got to have their hair cut, choose a fun hairstyle, get sparkles on their faces and get a sucker at the end. We were just going to have Caroline's hair styled... but then the stylist said her hair would be so much healthier if we trimmed up the ends... so she got her first hair cut while we were there. I was so happy that I really can't even tell Caroline's hair was trimmed, so that was the perfect haircut for her. It was by far the fanciest... and most expensive first hair cut of any of our children thus far, but that place was really special and our kids loved it. Two of their cousins came too.
We brought lunch to the salon because we got there early.
Addallee loved eating the crusts of everyones' grilled cheeses.
Howard's third hair cut.
Caroline's first hair cut.
Such a beauty!
And Tracey getting a trim as well.
All the children with their new hair styles.
We were able to find a night when Chris' parents, and his sister, and his brother and sister-in-law, and Christ and I could go to dinner just the adults and two Great Aunts watched our little ones. Bedtime didn't happen, but we arrived home to all these smiling faces -- not asleep... but happy.
Lee Lee and Fridah playing on a splash pad together. They had a blast.
But it is really hard to catch Fridah smiling for a picture.
