Even Miracles Take a Little Time.

Have you ever needed a reminder that miracles happen and you believe in them?

I am there right now.

Luckily, when I was in Denver this past weekend, I found a visual prompt for myself at work:

I took it to work today and put it right in front of me at my desk where I would see it every time I looked up. I only added the paint this evening - and it felt so nice to flex my limitedly creative muscles to add a little color and pattern to this great reminder that "Even Miracles Take a Little Time." I even added my own little reminder to the back of this cylinder...The more I look at this great little paper-weight, the more I let it resonate... and the more I remember this awesome song from a favorite movie of my childhood, which states Even a Miracle Needs a Hand.

  1. Brooke,

This is a great reminder, even though we know God can make it happen in a instant, sometimes there is more to be seen when it takes it time getting there.

  2. That is a good reminder for all of us! I often feel like the girl in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that says "I want it, and I want it NOW!!" And then, in the back of my head, I hear the Lord say "Patience...my plan is better...." Why is it so hard?
BTW--Eloise had paint on her face. It took so long to get it all off. We have fun with our art projects. (-:

  3. very cute! I agree with Kat - God can do anything in a moments time without any help. But, often we are asked to wait for our miracles which can be very hard. That's when God stretches us and teaches us more about faith. Over the years I think I've learned that if I had to chose between the instant gratification of a miracle - or the drawn out task of waiting... I'd pick waiting. It's in the waiting that the most precious miracle of all occurs ... the growth of my faith and relationship with Christ. Wouldn't trade that for anything! :)

  4. Indeed... maybe today is the day for a miracle...
