Lex and Caroline

 These days, I feel like every other photo on my phone is of Caroline holding Lexie.

I'm not sure when it happened, but Caroline is finally comfortable holding and "petting Lexie's head"... which means she has learned how to be gentle but confidant around Lexie, and read Lexie's cues.  Also, Lexie has learned to go with the flow a little bit and trust Caroline... a little.

So, multiple times a day, I will find Caroline petting Lexie, holding Lexie, or even carrying Lexie around.  This has pretty much never happened up until the past few weeks.  Lexie is a very tolerant cat, but she is not a toy -- and the children know that Lexie is not a toy.  Lexie needs her space, and is always treated gently and with respect.

So, it has been fun to consistently see Caroline holding and petting Lex any chance she can.
