Caffeinated Randomness: Where did my day go?

My Goodness. Where did my day go?!?!?! I knew I wasn't going to have this post out first thing this morning, but I really didn't except to get to it with my dinner.

I have been busy all day trying to get back in the swing of things in Eagle after having been in Saint Louis for the past week. What a great trip it was, and I will post pictures, etc tomorrow.

I have a busy week ahead of my Eagle though and today I tried to jump into everything.

I went running this morning. I ran a new route last week and there are a few fun hills on it. Last week the hills and the DRY MOUTH of running in the Rockies had me walking a few times. Today my goal: Run the same route -- RUN the same route -- Run the whole thing. I took a small water bottle with me, which helped the dry mouth, and I did run the whole thing - and I felt great! Maybe it was made all the more enjoyable by the fact that the last time I ran was in St. Louis - very different running conditions. One of my favorite songs to run to is The Sunscreen Song:

Today, I also took Lexie to the vet and the Sweet Girl has been kind of quiet ever since we got home.
So, Chris has the most hysterical ring tone on his phone. I start dancing the bopping around the moment I hear it and I usually discourage him from answering his phone so I can listen to the song longer. So, recently he sent me this awesome ring tone and I made it the ring tone for when he calls me, and my two Gangsta friends from my years in Nashville, Nick and Obinna. I have gotten some weird looks since I've put in on my phone - I'll be in Walmart, sweet girl in summer outfit, my cart full of baking ingredients... and my phone blares:

I LOVE IT! The hard part is making myself answer the phone when I enjoy bopping to the song so much.

The reason my week will be so busy is currently a secret, but I will announce things next week. Let's see if I can give some hints without saying too much:
  • God opens doors no one can close and He closes doors no one can open.
  • God's timing is perfect - He doesn't arrive early and He never misses a deadline.
  • I have several letters to write and TO-DO Lists to complete in the next few days.
  • In a nod to the Donald Miller book I just finished, "A Million Miles in a Thousand Years", my life has recently had an "inciting incident" and I am very excited about it.
Maybe I will offer some more clues this weekend... any guesses?

  2. Your sunscreen song reminds me of the Sweater Song that was a hit in 91 or 92. I'll have to go to youtube to find it now......

  5. Emily -
How can you have a guess and not want to write it. That's totally unfair! Either way, you have to wait until next week.

  6. Unfair? You are the one holding back on us! :-)

Question: Does it include a special someone?

Question: Doesn't everything in life include someone special? Every event, every change...?
