We had such a great weekend.
Friday we were home and I did some work, and Lee Lee had a big girl adventure with Hubby (because she's potty trained now and when one our little ones is fully potty trained he or she gets a big kid adventure with Daddy). I was home with the oldest three and Hunter and we had fun.
Then Saturday it snowed all day and our kiddos were outside in the snow for hours. It was wonderful and they are old enough that they don't need a parent to be outside with them. I helped with one or two mittens and reminded them to zip their coats... but other than that, they were outside having a ball together in the several inches of snow that we got. I did TONS of laundry while they enjoyed the snow.
Then, after a late lunch, we got everyone in pajamas and drove around after sunset to look at local Christmas lights. Came home to a late dinner with the old Shirley Temple movie A Little Princess, and everyone went to bed later than usual.
Then, Sunday morning, we tackled a family Christmas pageant complete with stage lighting, five different cameras (Hubby's influence), and lots of costume changes because almost every child played multiple characters. After we had all the scenes and lines recorded, I was pretty much spent. The kiddos had some screen time and I baked some Christmas cookies and tried to pick up from the major pageant project.
It was SUCH a fun weekend full of seasonal fun family activities.
I'm tired because it was a busy weekend, but I also feel very refreshed from the focused family time headed into our final work/school week before Christmas vacation!!!!
