Happy 2nd Birthday to our Favorite Middle Son, Hunter Nicholas!
This little boy adores his brothers and sister, and has a really good throwing arm. He loves any kind of sports play, he is a great climber, and he loves toy cars and trucks. He also loves jumping, running, rocks, and sticks.
His language has grown tremendously in the past six months and it is so much fun to hear what he has to say.
Some special words he has for things include:
mess = banana
guys = lovie
Pretty much all of his other words are versions of how one would actually say them with a few less consonants. He especially loves to announce DINNER TIME ("inner ime") to the rest of the family when I tell him that dinner's ready.
As a baby impacted by the COVID world, he has been our most clingy child, but he has grown tremendously in the past three months since he started preschool. He is still reserved around most strangers, but he thoroughly enjoys his time at school and we love that he is learning to have fun and make friends beyond our immediate family.
Hunter is such a hunter boy. He loves animals of all kinds, and especially likes flipping through Daddy's hunting magazines. He caught his first fish this summer and loved watching it swim in a tank Daddy made for it.
Lately he loves pretending to be a monster. He will randomly walk up to a sibling or myself and roar pretty loudly in their face. He thinks that is so funny.
We feel so incredibly fortunate to have our Hunter Nicholas. I remember how INCREDIBLY grateful and overjoyed we all were two years ago when we learned our family was gaining a baby brother. Little did we know that God was preparing ANOTHER baby brother to join our family 18 months later.
Having two little boys as the youngest children in our family is bringing us so much joy and we cannot wait to watch Hunter grow more and more into the strong and kind man, brother, and son God has created him to be.
