Spring Break Pictures Continued:
Zion National park
These goats could totally tell we were from out of town... you should have seen the looks they gave us.
Breath-taking!
Quoth the Raven "Nevermore"
We made a little campfire for lunch
A very little campfire...This sign spoke of the dangers of feeding the deer... some of them have attacked park visitors.
We did not feed these deer. The Patriarch Peaks - Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
Chris got tired by this time of the trip so I did three hikes by myself.
Canyonlands
Complete with a Flash Flood Warning and Preparation sign
As we were headed out of the park, we came upon a BUNCH (or I guess, I should say a herd) of mountain goats crossing the street and hopping among the rocks. This goat felt the need to chase me down the road.

Bryce Canyon
After Chris jumped and swam in the 50* water, he had me drive for the rest of the day. I like to cite this as evidence that the jump was not a good idea.
I drove while Chris slept. The swim and temperature plunge took its toll on him.
At the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center, Chris and I had fun with the animals... Chris never saw this Mountain Lion coming.
I exchanged mating calls with a Golden Eagle...
Great views of Bryce Canyon!
Plenty of snow here in Utah!
These restrooms were closed for the season.
Ebenezer and Mary Bryce settled near the Canyon. Ebenezer was quoted about the canyon, "It's a hell of a place to lose a cow."
Yup... a hell of a place to lose a cow!
This place was breath-taking.
We thought this ad was really funny... "Heated Rooms" - are most of the rooms around here not heated?
I used Chris' rifle scope cover to keep my hat (well, his hat) on. :-D

Camping at Lake Powell
Camping at Lake Powell. Nothing like pitching a tent, figuring out warm clothes/sleeping bags/layers/20* temperatures to make for a good time... or test a relationship. This was our tent. I would recommend tents from REI.
I was pretty bundled up complete with two gloves for the same hand (I'm both palms out in this picture) - and I got to wear the head lamp.
Yeah, I'm all bundled and Chris is in a tee-shirt and baseball cap.
A beautiful (and warm) fire.
Chris is organizing the tent.
This is the stove that boiled water that went in Nalgene bottles that laid at my feet and my torso that kept the girl warm in the 20* "camping" weather.
So this is what the campsite looks like in the light.
Packin' up!
We didn't actually eat any of this food, but I was impressed with the selection of food Chris brought, which we could have cooked, if we had wanted.
Nothing like a 20* night of camping to get ready for some Lake Powell adventures:
