While we were in St. Louis this summer, we were able to celebrate Chris' grandfather's 90th Birthday. His actual birthday is this week, but the family celebrated it a month early so that more people (including us) could be there.
This cake was 4-tiered with homage to his roles of Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather on each tier.
There were 16 great-grandchildren ranging in age from 12 to newborn, and so there were some fun activities for the kids -- a piñata, a water bounce house, a slip-n-slide, water balloons, and fireworks.
The day was a wonderful time together with friends and generations of family.
For the record, when I turn 90, I think a 4-tiered birthday cake, pinata, slip-n-slide, bounce house, water balloons, and fireworks will do very nicely.
