Brady turned seven months before Christmas, and I did take his seven-month picture within 24 hours of this milestone, but I am INCREDIBLY behind in posting this update because of all the Christmas activities, celebrations, travel, and responsibilities of being the mother to six young children around Christmas, New Years, and Birthdays. Hopefully I will be more prompt with his 8 month update (which is due in just over ten days).
Here is Brady at 7 months of age:
And here is the comparison of all six kiddos at seven months of age:
Top left to right - Howard, Brady, Tracey
Bottom left to right - Lee Lee, Caroline, Hunter
Weight:
15 pounds, 6 ounces at his six month check up so probably more than that now given how much he LOVES solid foods
Length:
25.5" long at his check up - so probably longer than that now
Clothing size:
Pretty much nine-month clothing or larger is the right size for him. He can still fit in a few six month outfits, but if they are hand-me-downs that have been washed 100 times, it has to be nine month or larger.
Eating:
Brady LOVES solid food. He is getting the hang of eating very well and we have not really found anything he doesn't like. The fact that we celebrated Thanksgiving the week that Brady turned six months means that he wasn't really eased into the world of solid foods. If I remember correctly, I think he has about three days where I was very careful about what food he ate -- bananas, yogurt, baby food, cut up strawberries... and then suddenly it was green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, small bites of turkey, and pumpkin pie (Thank you, Grammie). Brady has show ZERO allergic reactions to anything he has eaten, which is such an answer to prayer after Hunter had some food sensitivities between the ages of six months and a year.
Sleeping:
Brady sleeps pretty well, although not through the night yet. I finally moved him out of our bedroom and into a playpen in the guest room about a week after my parents left. He slept much more soundly in his own room, and Hubby and I enjoyed the milestone of having our bed room privacy back after six months (and what feels like nearly eight years) of having a baby in our room. Right before Brady turned seven months, the kids and I tackled the project of re-arranging the kids rooms so we have a girls room and a boys room, which means, Brady has officially been promoted to the nursery and a real crib (not a pack-and-play). It has been very nice for him to be in his own room, and he naps and sleeps better (although, again, not through the night yet). He also LOVES to sleep on his stomach. When I lay him down to sleep on his back, he almost instantaneously rolls onto his side, and is on his stomach within minutes.
