Merry Christmas!
Our Christmas Card 2018
Christmas Letter 2018
The Mountain Millers have had a terrific year in 2018. After
a few years where leaving the house with our twin babies and toddler felt like
a game of Russian roulette, Chris and I seem to have hit our parenting stride
this year with our “four under five” and leaving the house for errands,
adventures, and routine activities seems much more manageable. With that, we’ve
been able to become involved in more church and community
activities, which has been fun for our children and for us.
Tracey Ann turned four this year and played on two soccer
teams, took swimming lessons, performed in her first dance recital, and is
proving to be quite a social butterfly at school. She is certainly the
ringleader at our house with three younger siblings looking up to her ready to
actively participate in any game, show, or idea she can imagine.
Our Howard James has so much energy. “Why walk or sit when
you can jump and run?” seems to be his motto. With that motto came six stitches
this year – three in January and three in July and all on his head due to falls
or collisions. He is taking dance with his sisters, but really wants to play
any activity with a ball. Baseball, football, volleyball, soccer, or simple
games of catch are staples in our house as per Howard‘s request.
It has been so fun to watch our sweet Caroline Christine
become her own person this year. She loves being a helpful big sister to Lee
Lee and helping Mama or Daddy around the house any chance she can. A favorite
activity is loading and unloading the dishwasher. She also loves dance
class this year and seems to be quite a little fish anytime we have the chance
to go swimming.
As our fourth child, Addallee Marigold, lives a very happy
and busy life in hand-me-downs, she is truly a joyful addition to our family.
She chases after her older siblings in an effort to be included as fast as her
little legs will toddle her, and her two sisters and brother love her to
pieces.
Our lives very much revolve around our tiny humans, and
Chris and I couldn’t be happier about it. Chris continues to work for the
Garfield RE2 school district as Dean and Athletic Director of Rifle Middle
School and serves on various district committees. He has also started taking
local security jobs for an organization in our area on nights and weekends. My
priority is of course Chris, and our four children, but I continue to work part
time as a Teacher for students with Visual Impairments in our area. I also
teach a few classes at the community college, and have started to take a more
active role in children’s ministry at our church.
We continue to pray for our community, state, country, and
world and in such a broken place, we cherish you, our dear friends, nearby and
across the miles. We’d love to host you in Rifle anytime life could bring you
our way, but are so grateful for your friendship until we meet again.
We wish you the Merriest of Christmases as you celebrate the
birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and great health and happiness in the New
Year.
Much Love,
The Mountain Millers 2018
Chris, Brooke, Tracey, Howard, Caroline and Addallee
(and animals, Lexie and Lloyd)
