Addallee is eight months old and she is such a joy and wonderful addition to our family.
I still cannot find my monthly stickers... but this month I did remember to take her picture with her Lynx stuffed animal.
Here is Addallee at eight months:
Here she is at four months...
and one month...
and as a sweet newborn.
And here was Howard and Caroline at eight months:
And here was Tracey at eight months:
Weight:
She is probably about 17 or 17-and-a-half pounds.
Length:
At her appointment she was 25.5 cm... so she's probably taller now. She can officially touch her feet on the floor while in her walker now.
Clothing size:
She fits well in nine-month clothing but all her summer clothes are six-month hand-me-downs. Thankfully, she fits in them -- for now at least.
Eating:
She loves solid foods. In particular, she loves oatmeal, greek yogurt, strawberries, pasta, broccoli, and mushrooms. She still nurses a few times each day -- usually about 4am, then maybe a mid-morning snack, then about 12:30 before napping, then maybe an afternoon snack, and then about 7:30 before bed. We have started giving her bottles with water in them at meals and when we're out in the sun to keep her hydrated. She likes the water bottles, but she hasn't figured out how to hold them herself yet. Her siblings love holding her bottle for her, though and she tips her head back. Also they love to sit next to Addallee during meals and help in any way I'll let them. Tracey was allowed to spoon feed Addallee oatmeal for the first time a few days ago, and both Tracey and Lee Lee were so happy with the arrangement.
Sleeping:
Addallee sleeps pretty well most of the time. I think she might be teething because we've had a couple of rough nights lately -- then again, it could also be that our schedule has been a little crazy and Addallee might be feeling the affects. Usually she goes to bed about 7:30 and sleeps until 4:00am when she'll nurse a little and then goes back to sleep for another few hours. She wakes up again around 8:00am and is happy and awake much of the morning. She usually grabs a cat nap sometime in the morning but has lunch with the kids at noon and then is ready to have a long nap at 12:30. She'll sleep a few hours and then is awake all afternoon until bedtime at 7:30.
