Addallee Marigold -- Two Months

Addallee is two months old... or she was just before Christmas, and the invasion of family, so this post is about ten days late.

Weight: 

She went to the doctor on her two-month birthday for her two-month immunizations and she weighed 11 pounds 1 ounce.

Length:  

I'm really not sure... she wears all 0-3 month clothes but has outgrown everything newborn.

Clothing size: 

Same answer as her current length -- she wears 0-3 month clothes, but has outgrown all newborn clothes.  This is my first little one that I've put her in larger clothes when an occasion dictates the outfit.  She has a really cute University of Michigan dress that is size 6 months that she's worn several times.  By our third daughter I'm not quite as strict about only keeping her current size in the drawers.

 

Eating:  

Addallee nurses on demand and honestly, I don't really think about it anymore.  She nurses in the morning, mid-morning, when the twins nap, then afternoon, and then once the twins are in bed.  She nurses during the night, and then I prop her up on my shoulder to burp her... and then not uncommonly I will fall asleep sitting up and wake up with a glorious crick in my neck in time to nurse her in the morning.

Sleeping:  

Addallee sleeps in our room in a bassinet and in a dock-a-tot at night.  Her favorite way to sleep is on her tummy laying chest to chest on an adult.  She sleeps most of the day, but is alert and awake a little more every day.

 

New things/discoveries: 

• Addallee has an amazing smile and she loves to use it on me, Hubby, and her siblings
• As Tracey says, "She's practicing holding her head up.  That a girl!"
• She got her two month immunizations this month
• She had her first Thanksgiving 
• First days staying with Daddy while Mama went to work
• First bottles

  New Accomplishments: 

• Smiling
• Holding up her head more and more
• Sleeping in a little longer stretches
• Being such a trooper for anything and everything to which I bring her along

•  Attending the Rifle Christmas festivities as a family including the Christmas light parade and meeting Santa
• Attending the Glenwood Colorado Hotel lighting and meeting Santa
• Thanksgiving with my parents
• Attending Tracey's Christmas performance at her school and a Christmas party beforehand
• Attending some adult Christmas parties with Mama and Daddy while the big kids stayed home
• First trip to the park on a particularly warm day
• First time sleeping alone in the family room while the big kids played in the snow on a particularly snowy day
